Payroll Division

At McCulloch & Partners we match our key specialists with client needs to ensure 'Success Builds Success'!

Payroll is a high stress, high risk area for many of our clients. Both employees and employers expect 100% accuracy on every pay run. Filing of information and payments to the Inland Revenue Department must be accurate and on time. Payroll is often the largest or second largest expense item in a clients' business. It is therefore important that this area is managed closely.

At McCulloch & Partners we understand the risk and the stress. That's why we provide experienced personnel to oversee every payroll and also why we process payrolls online through one of our robust standardised software packages.

Our Team

The firm has an experienced team of staff processing a large number of payrolls for clients of all types and sizes.

Our Payroll & Business Services Manager, Loretta Wood, together with Senior Payroll Administrator, Pam Cooper, and Payroll Administrators: Geni Curtin, Laura Cooper and Helen Wilhelm have over 50 years of experience processing payroll and related information between them.

In addition, we also have Janeen McSkimming and Jude Patterson who are experienced Payroll Administrators.  They are employed in our Queenstown Office and process payrolls and related matters for a wide variety of businesses around Central Otago and further afield.

We invest time in staff training to ensure that we keep abreast of legislative developments, such as the Holidays Act, Employment Contracts Act and Inland Revenue Department requirements, including the new KiwiSaver Scheme.

Payroll Process

We believe our online payroll software provides a flexible platform to meet the changing needs of our client base. Our experience to date with this software is of a robust product providing ease of use and consequent effective delivery of our payroll services.

Online Banking

Bank interface integration allows direct transfer of employee payments from the client bank account, either by diskette or modem. Compliance with Inland Revenue Department employer requirements is by way of online transfer of employee payroll data to the Department's website. Clients also have the option of paying PAYE either as a direct deduction from their bank account online in the same manner as the employee payroll, or by cheque.

McCulloch & Partners continually reviews its standard of compliance with all relevant legislation, including the professional and ethical standards required by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand. Furthermore, we are committed to ensuring that at all times information is kept strictly confidential.
