As a business advisor Greg has a special interest in the meat industry which he finds fulfilling and where there is never a dull moment. He also has joint responsibility with Kieran Middleton for our Te Anau office and visits the area each fortnight.
He firmly believes that a good accountant needs to be in partnership with their client - "We work together, through good times and bad, and when there are difficulties we deal with them together."
Greg has significant experience in:
- shareholder reports
- preparation of business plans
- cash flow and financial statements
- management reporting
- board assistance and risk management
- trust and asset protection
He is Company Secretary of Blue Sky Meats, Treasurer and Board Member of the Southland Cricket Association, President and life member of the Appleby Cricket Club, Treasurer of the Woodlands Rugby Club Committee and an observer for the NZ Rugby Union on the Rugby Southland Board.
Commencing in 1994 as a graduate accountant, Greg then left McCulloch + Partners in 1998 to complete his big OE. While in London he worked in various treasury roles that gave him a different perspective and new challenges – this experience he put to good use on his return home in 2001 when he resumed working with McCulloch + Partners.
Greg was admitted to the Partnership in 2006.
Born and bred in Southland, Greg is married to Pip. They have two children Flynn and Keaton. In his spare time, between trying to keep the two boys under control, Greg still plays senior cricket for Appleby during the summer months.
Apart from his love of cricket Greg can be seen actively supporting the Woodlands Rugby Club from the sidelines.
