First Managed Services and Now Online Backups to the Cloud
McCulloch Computer Solutions is delighted to announce an important addition to the MCS itAssure Managed Services suite, MCS itAssure–Online Backup.
MCS itAssure-Managed Services
McCulloch Computer Solutions has for some time now been providing a range of Information Technology (IT) support and management services to clients under the MCS itAssure Managed Services brand. The services offered are flexible and range from, monitoring IT health, to filling the gaps that typically exist around IT support, to taking responsibility for managing the IT resources.
The services are suited to those with a single computer right through to businesses with a network of computers and servers. The unique combination of the ‘all you can eat’ Gold level plan, and fixed fees for services at Silver and Bronze levels, makes MCS itAssure Managed Services a standout option, and well worth considering if it’s right for you or your business.
Prices start from $19 +GST per month for desktops/laptops, and from $99 + GST per month for servers.
MCS itAssure-Online Backup
McCulloch Computer Solutions is now offering MCS itAssure-Online Backup. You don’t have to be an existing MCS itAssure Managed Services client to be able to use MCS itAssure-Online Backup, it’s open to everyone. If you’re tired of messing around with the traditional backup options – tapes, DVD’s, CD’s or even diskettes (remember these?) and you want to make sure that your data is safely stored off-site then MCS itAssure-Online Backup is just what you need.
MCS itAssure-Online Backupis suitable for backing up desktops, laptops and servers and works with both MS Windows and Apple Mac operating systems. At the server level there are additional options for handling the more specialised backup requirements e.g. MS Exchange, MS SQL, Lotus Notes, etc.
So how does it work?
The MCS itAssure-Online Backup software is installed on each computer which selects, copies, compresses and encrypts the data before sending it over your internet connection to our backup servers. The backups, which can be configured to back up specific files only or even the whole computer, are scheduled to run automatically and to provide status reports so you know what’s happening.
Compression makes the data smaller (averages around 50%, but can be as high as 90%) so there’s less data to be sent and in turn less data to be stored on our backup servers. Encryption
makes the data secure as it can only be accessed if you have the correct encryption key. With multiple backup server locations your data is safer as it is stored in two geographically separated New Zealand cities.
Prices start from $16.80 + GST per month for desktops/laptops with 5GB of storage, and from $47.80 + GST per month for servers with 25GB of storage.
