He enjoys helping clients work through challenging situations by breaking them down into clear, practical advice. His approachable style and open communication ensure clients feel comfortable discussing any matter, big or small.
Alex originally worked across the ski industry in Canada, New Zealand, Japan, and Europe. During Covid and after starting a family, he revisited his long-standing passion for accounting, completing an accelerated degree with top results before moving into a role at a Big 4 firm. There, he gained broad accounting and tax experience across a wide range of clients while completing his Chartered Accountant qualification and developing a strong focus on tax advisory setting him up for joining the team at McCulloch & Partners in February 2026.
Alex is a strong believer in continuous learning and maintaining a growth mindset, regularly building on his expertise through further education and experience. His diverse background and practical mindset help him deliver advice that is both technically sound and commercially realistic.
Outside of work, Alex and his partner have a busy life with two young children, and as a family they love spending time outdoors skiing, mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, and travelling in their motorhome whenever possible. They also try to continue their mostly annual tradition of travelling to Japan for a motorhome ski trip each February.
