She is passionate about helping businesses, particularly in the agricultural sector, with years of experience and a deep understanding of the industry’s unique challenges. Melanie takes a hands-on approach, working closely with clients to achieve their goals both on and off the farm. She doesn’t shy away from getting her boots dirty and loves getting out in the field to better understand her client’s operations. With a keen eye for detail, Melanie excels at budgets and cash flow forecasting, management accounting, board reporting, financial accounting, taxation, and using the latest software such as Xero, Figured, and Farm Focus. In addition to agricultural accounting, Mel also works with a number of commercial clients, helping them to achieve their financial goals.

She grew up in the Waikato and joined the McCulloch & Partners team in 2015 as a Client Advisor, earning a well-deserved promotion to a Manager role in 2020. Her 18 years of knowledge in the industry, daily conversations with farmers, and keeping on top of the latest changes make her an expert in her field.

Besides her accounting work, Melanie is an active member of the community with her involvement in the dairy women’s network.

Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hitting the gym, and keeping up with the latest industry news and developments.
