Sarah’s specialties include Xero and business systems, financial reporting, tax and management accounting, as well as budgeting and forecasting. She takes a clear and open approach to working with clients, building long term relationships through approachable communication and practical guidance. Alongside her client work, she is passionate about training and mentoring junior staff, helping to strengthen the wider team.
Sarah joined McCulloch & Partners in November 2021 as a graduate after completing a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Otago. Having previously worked at the firm during a university break, she was drawn back by the culture and people. She completed her Chartered Accountant studies in 2024 and has since been promoted to a Manager role within Business Advisory Services, reflecting her strong capability and commitment to her clients.
Her hands on experience living on a dairy farm provides valuable real world insight into the challenges and opportunities businesses face. This perspective allows her to deliver advice that balances technical accuracy with practical application.
Outside of work, Sarah is actively involved in her local community as Treasurer of the Ōtautau Sports Complex and enjoys participating in local sport, including Saturday netball. She loves travelling, attending festivals and concerts, and spending time outdoors walking or boating. Sarah also enjoys cooking and entertaining, making the most of time with friends and family.
